These terms are provided for informational purposes during the prototype phase. Final legal review is recommended before taking live payments or operating commercially.

1. Scope of service

AI App Rescue provides a fixed-scope technical inspection and rescue service for AI-built software prototypes. Each engagement is bounded by the tier selected and described at the time of purchase. Work beyond the defined scope of the selected tier requires a separate written agreement.

2. No guarantee of security or compliance

The inspection and any resulting cleanup or deployment work do not constitute a security audit, penetration test, compliance certification, or legal sign-off. The service may identify risks and concerns, but it cannot guarantee that the reviewed code is free of vulnerabilities, compliant with any regulation, or suitable for any particular use case.

3. Client authorization to submit code

By submitting code, you confirm that you are the owner of the code or are authorized by the owner to submit it for review. You must not submit code that belongs to a third party without authorization, code subject to a non-disclosure agreement that prohibits disclosure to third-party reviewers, or code that contains third-party proprietary material without authorization.

4. Do not knowingly submit regulated personal data

Finding embedded credentials, configuration issues, and improperly handled secrets is part of what this review does. You are not expected to clean up or remove those things before submitting — they are findings, not violations. What you must not knowingly submit is information about real people: customer records, medical or health records, financial records, legal records, children's data, government IDs, or any other regulated personal data. If you are not sure whether your code contains this kind of information, describe the situation in the intake form and we will advise before reviewing. AI App Rescue is not responsible for personal or regulated data submitted in violation of these terms.

5. No NDA for initial review

AI App Rescue does not sign non-disclosure agreements for initial flat-fee evaluations or intake processes. If your project requires formal confidentiality terms before any review can begin, it is outside the standard flat-fee process and may require a separately scoped and negotiated engagement.

6. Flat-fee scope limits

Each tier has a defined scope. Flat-fee engagements do not include unlimited revisions, feature additions, design work, compliance review, or work outside the scope described for the selected tier. If the scope of your project is unclear at intake, the service may request additional information before beginning work.

7. Exclusions

The following are not accepted and will be declined: WordPress and WooCommerce work, malware cleanup, hacked-site recovery, legacy cPanel archaeology, raw credit card storage, apps that require storing card numbers, projects involving unsafe handling of regulated data under flat-fee terms, and projects requiring NDA before initial review.

8. Payment terms

Payment is due before work begins unless otherwise agreed in writing. Prices are as listed at time of purchase. Payment is collected via Stripe Checkout or invoiced manually during the prototype phase. Disputed charges must be communicated in writing within 14 days of the issue.

9. Refund policy

If work has not yet begun, a full refund may be requested. Once work has begun, refunds are at the discretion of AI App Rescue and may be prorated based on work completed. Delivery of the Rescue Report constitutes completion of the Tier 1 obligation. Refunds are not provided for disagreement with the findings or recommendation.

10. Client responsibility for backups and access

You are responsible for maintaining backups of your code and data before submitting for review. AI App Rescue is not responsible for data loss resulting from submission or review. If deployment work is included in your tier, you must provide necessary access to hosting platforms, DNS providers, or repositories.

11. Third-party services and hosting

Deployment work uses approved third-party hosting providers. AI App Rescue is not responsible for the availability, pricing, or terms of third-party services. You are responsible for maintaining accounts and billing relationships with hosting providers used during your engagement.

12. No legal, compliance, or financial advice

Nothing in the Rescue Report or any communication from AI App Rescue constitutes legal advice, financial advice, compliance advice, or medical advice. If your project involves regulated domains, you must consult appropriate licensed professionals.

13. Limitation of liability

AI App Rescue's liability for any claim arising from an engagement is limited to the fee paid for that engagement. In no event will AI App Rescue be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including lost revenue, data loss, or business disruption.

14. Right to decline work

AI App Rescue reserves the right to decline any submission for any reason, including but not limited to the nature of the project, the risk level of the submitted code, inability to review the submitted stack, or conflict with these terms. If a submission is declined after payment, a full refund will be issued.

15. Communication expectations

Communication occurs by email. Response time targets are one to three business days. AI App Rescue does not offer live chat, phone support, or emergency on-call during the MVP phase.

16. Intellectual property

You retain ownership of your code. AI App Rescue does not claim ownership of submitted code. The Rescue Report is provided to you for your use. AI App Rescue retains the right to describe the nature of engagements in general terms without identifying client details.

17. Confidentiality of submitted materials

Submitted code will be treated as confidential and will not be shared with third parties except as required to perform the engagement. This is a practical confidentiality commitment, not a formal NDA. Materials will be deleted after the retention period unless a deletion request is submitted.

18. Data retention and deletion

Uploaded files and submitted intake data are retained for 90 days after completion of the engagement unless a deletion request is submitted. To request deletion of your submission materials, contact AI App Rescue by email with your submission details.
